Year 5 - Otter Class
Welcome to Otter class
Class Teacher: Mrs Webb
Teaching Assistant: Mr Dole
Term 4
Our enquiry this term answers the geographical question: How is Climate Change Affecting the World? This relevant question in today's society will allow children opportunities to reflect on current behaviours in our world which are impacting the globe and enable them to find out how natural phenomena are being altered by human activity.
For reading, we will study Running Wild by Michael Morpurgo, a gripping story about a boy who, through tragic circumstances, finds himself alone in a jungle with only animals as friends.
P.E will be on MONDAYS this term and will be outside. Children must bring their kit into school in a bag ready to change into after lunch. Earrings will need to be removed for P.E lessons.
We will have Forest School every fortnight this term. The dates are: Friday, 7th March, Friday, 21st March and Friday, 4th April. Children will need to bring their kit into school ready to change after lunch. Please be mindful of the changing weather and choose appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather.
