Term 2

I hope you all had a lovely October break and I look forward to welcoming you back for Term 2 and all the winter fun it brings! 

Our enquiry this term is Geography focussed. The question we will be answering is 'Why don't penguins need to fly?'. We will be learning the continents and thinking about the habitat penguins live in to help us answer this question. The key knowledge the children will be learning is on the Geography knowledge organiser attached below. 

Our other learning for the term includes: 

Maths - Addition, subtraction and shape.

D.T. - Making a moving monster

R.E. - Why do we need to give thanks?

Music - Call and response songs

PSHE- Me in my world and Racism

P.E.this term is dance and this will be taught inside. We will do P.E. on a Thursday afternoon. Please make sure that your child has their P.E. kit in school so that they are able to change for our lessons. 

Forest school this term will be on Wednesday 6th, 13th and 20th of November. Please make sure your child brings appropriate clothes and shoes to get changed into. Wellies can be left on the boot rack at school. You might also want to provide them with a warm, waterproof coat.

Home learning will include reading each day and Twinkl phonics assignments alongside practise on Numbots and TT Rockstars.
