Year 3 - Kingfisher Class

Welcome to Kingfisher Class

Class Teacher: Mr Dickens

Teaching Assistants: Mrs Cooper and Mrs Ali

Welcome to Term 2

I hope you have all had a lovely half-term break and are excited to continue your learning journey in Kingfishers!

This term we will be exploring our Geography enquiry, 'How has my local area changed?'. The children will spend time learning about Canterbury at different points in time.  They will investigate how the city they go to school in has changed over time and why those changes might have been made.  We will also be looking at specific past events that have occurred, which have had an impact on the city (i.e. World War II).

In Reading, our class text is: 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes - "Where has he come from? How was he made? Nobody knows!"

PE will be every Monday afternoon. Please make sure you have a PE kit in school to change into.

Kingfishers will take part in Forest School during the second half of the Term (starting Week 4). Please remember your Forest School kit and appropriate footwear. A reminder of this will be sent out the week before the class is due to start Forest School.
