Pupil Reads Winning Poem to the Queen

As the winner of Canterbury Young Poet of the Year 2024 in the 5-8 year category, Pilgrims' Way Primary School pupil, Ahmad, was invited to read his poem at the unveiling of the Aphra Behn statue event in Canterbury on 25th February 2025. To the surprise of all attendees, the VIP guest in attendance was Queen Camilla.

Ahmad, aged 9, proudly read his poem to the Queen and several other notable dignitaries at the event, taking place at the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, Canterbury.
