Our topic this term is a geography-based enquiry, asking, How do volcanoes affect the lives of people? Our topic centres on the geographic features of volcanoes and how people around the world use their benefits for enriching their own lives.
For reading, we will study When the Mountains Roared by Jess Butterworth, a story about a young girl who overcomes her own fears to save the lives of an endangered species in India.
P.E will be led by Team Theme this term and is on Wednesday mornings. We will be learning gymnastics in the hall. Please send children into school in their kit with their uniform in a clearly marked bag.
We will have three Forest School sessions, starting on Friday, November 29th. Children will need to bring their kit into school ready to change into after lunch. Please be mindful of the changing weather and choose appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather.
