Year 2 - Squirrel Class

Welcome to Squirrel Class, our teacher is Mrs Newman.

I hope you had a good summer and I am so excited to welcome you back to squirrel class. I can't wait to start our Year 2 learning together! 

Our enquiry this term is 'How was school different in the past?'. It is a history based enquiry and we will be using our comparative skills to look at the changes in schools since the 1900s.

P.E.this term is rugby and this will be taught outside. We will do P.E. on a Thursday afternoon. Please make sure that your child has their P.E. kit in school so that they are able to change for our lessons. As the weather gets colder you might want to provide your child with some jogging bottoms/leggings. 

Forest school this term will be on Wednesday 4th, 11th and 18th September. Please make sure your child brings appropriate clothes to get changed into. You might also want to provide them with a warm, waterproof coat.

Home learning will include reading each day and spelling shed assignments alongside practise on Numbots and TT Rockstars.
