Class Teacher: Mrs Usher
Teaching assistants: Miss O'Brien, Mrs Redman and Mrs Paul
Welcome to Term 2
I hope you all had a wonderful half term, are ready for another busy term in Fox Class and are ready to continue to work hard.
This term we will focus on our Geography enquiry, 'How does the weather affect our lives?'. We will be learning about the different types of weather, the seven continents and five oceans, comparing the UK to other countries and making weather charts.
In English we will be focusing on stories. We will be learning about why we have stories, exploring vocabulary and word groups and writing our own short stories using all the skills we’ve learnt. The narratives we will be looking at link to the weather. We are starting this term with 'The Storm Whale' by Benji Davies.
PE will continue to be every Tuesday afternoon, so please have an appropriate PE kit in school.
Forest School will be Thursday mornings. Please remember your Forest School kit and appropriate footwear. Check the Class Dojo page for regular updates on Forest School.
Your child should have their reading book in school every day and should practice reading at home on a daily basis. Reading books will be changed every Friday.
If you ever have any questions, I am available at the classroom door every day after school or can be contacted on ClassDojos.
